Egypt’s ambassador to Berlin: To increase flights from Germany to Hurghada next March


Ambassador Khaled Galal Abdel Hamid, Egypt’s ambassador in Berlin, commenting on the resumption of the German airline “Condor” its flights to Hurghada as of last Saturday, that the company had operated a flight carrying about 220 passengers from Frankfurt to Hurghada, and would operate a weekly flight from Germany to Hurghada every Thursday until The end of February with an increase in the number of flights from next March.

The ambassador added yesterday that these trips are carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the General Administration of Quarantine at the Ministry of Health and Population.

Jalal explained that these developments come as an implementation of the Tourism Ministry’s strategy to launch a safe tourist corridor between Germany and tourist destinations in the Red Sea. To encourage the return of German tourism to Egypt while preserving the security and safety of travelers and workers in tourist resorts through a set of strict preventive measures, expressing his hope that these trips will be the beginning of the restoration of German tourism to tourist destinations in the Red Sea region.

On the number of German tourists who flocked to Egypt before the Corona pandemic, the Egyptian ambassador said: “The number of German tourists who visited Egypt during the year 2019 reached about 1.8 million tourists; Where the German tourist ranks first in terms of the number of tourists coming to Egypt during the year 2019.
