Mohamed Ismail Abda, head of the Medical Supplies Division at the Cairo Chamber, revealed that it is planning to hold a conference for medical supplies to map the work of the sector in Egypt and localize the medical supplies industry, based on the directions of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
Abdo explained to Al-Youm Al-Sabea that medical supplies are among the strategic commodities that the state seeks to localize locally. The conference will be expanded, and includes several companies in addition to the Unified Procurement Authority, the Arab Organization for Industrialization and Industrial Development, and all institutions related to manufacturing in the medical supplies sector.
The head of the Medical Supplies Division indicated that a meeting was held on January 14th to prepare for the workshop and draw up recommendations and the final map that we will follow.
On exports of medical supplies, Abdo stressed that Egypt is the largest country that exports medical supplies to Africa and the Arab world, and there is no country in the Arab world or Africa that has a medical supplies industry like Egypt, and we have a large spread in Africa and the Arab world.
