The Minister of Transport, Lieutenant General Engineer Kamel Al-Wazir, met Ambassador Amjad Al-Adayleh, Ambassador of Jordan in Cairo, to discuss aspects of joint cooperation between the two sides. At the beginning of the meeting, the two sides emphasized the depth of the relationship between the political leadership and the Egyptian and Jordanian brotherly countries and peoples, and the need to support joint cooperation in all fields.

Discussions were held on ways to support trade between the two countries by overcoming all obstacles in the ports of arrival and facilitating the transfer of Egyptian products to Jordan and from there to Arab countries such as Iraq and Syria, as well as the need to develop the Arab Bridge Company (owned by Egypt, Jordan and Iraq) and open new markets for it to serve the movement Trade between the three countries and the East African countries.

Then the discussions touched on cooperation in the field of railways, where the Jordanian ambassador praised the great development that Egypt is witnessing in this field, expressing his desire for joint cooperation in the field of training for students, technicians and engineers at the Wardan Railway Institute, which was welcomed by the Minister of Transport, as he confirmed that this institute A huge training educational edifice comparable to the institutes in developed countries, and that the Egyptian Railways Authority is fully prepared to train the Jordanian brothers and all the Arab brothers in this field.

The importance of the protocol signed between the internal and international road transport regulatory agency and the Arab Union Supergate Company on the Egyptian side, and each of the Jordanian Jet companies, delegations and Iraqi private travelers, was also emphasized for running a land transport line between the three countries starting from Cairo through Amman to Baghdad and vice versa. This is at a passenger ticket price of $ 130, including the ferry price between Nuweiba and Aqaba ports. The two sides emphasized that this line aims to facilitate movement between the three countries, the movement of Egyptian workers to these countries, and the movement of students and scholars from these countries to Egypt.
