The Arab Union assigns Egypt to organize youth, gymnasium and women’s tournaments

The Arab Football Association agreed to entrust the organization of three of its tournaments for the current season to the Egyptian Football Association, which are as follows: the Arab Cup for Indoor Futsal during the period from 20 to 30 May next, and the Arab Cup for national teams for youth under 20 years during the period from June 17 to July 3, and the Arab Women’s Cup during the period from August 24 to September 6.

The Egyptian Football Association submitted a request to the Arab Federation last month, expressing its readiness to organize the three tournaments.

On the other hand, the committee that manages the Football Association is studying the launch of the new season in February 2022, in light of the successive links of the Egyptian first team for the next period, along with the ambiguity of the end date of the current football season.

The Egyptian national team will compete in the World Cup qualifiers during June, September, October and November, in addition to participating in the Arab Cup next December, before participating in the African Nations Championship in Cameroon, January 2022.

The Egyptian national team will be on a date with compressed matches and intertwined links during the coming period, whether in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers or the Arab Cup, which the Pharaohs will participate in next December. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced the dates of the African qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup, including the national team, as the Pharaohs are in Group Six next to Angola, Gabon and Libya, where the entire group stage will be held within four months only.

The deadlines announced by Kaf were as follows:

The first round: Egypt and Angola, a day of 5, 6, 7 or 8 June 2021.

The second round: Gabon and Egypt, one of the days of the 11th, 12th, 13th or 14th of June 2021.

The third round: Egypt and Libya, one of the days 1, 2, 3 or 4 September 2021.

Fourth round: Libya and Egypt, one of the days of 5, 6 or 7 September 2021.

Fifth round: Angola and Egypt, a day of 6, 7, 8 or 9 October 2021.

Sixth round: Egypt and Gabon, one of the days of 10, 11 or 12 October 2021.
