The exchange rate of the euro against the Egyptian pound rose today, Tuesday, February 23, 2021, in banks and exchange companies.
In the Central Bank, the euro’s exchange rate recorded 18.9676 pounds for purchase and 19.0899 pounds for sale, compared to 18.9106 pounds for purchase and 19.0377 pounds for sale, yesterday.
In the National Bank of Egypt (the largest government bank), the euro recorded 18.8700 pounds for purchase and 19.0900 pounds for sale, while the European currency in Banque Misr (the second largest government bank) recorded 18.8800 for purchase and 19.0300 for sale.
The Egyptian economy indicators are improving despite the Corona pandemic, amid a state of stability in the exchange market in light of the availability of foreign currencies.
Remittances from Egyptians working abroad achieved a remarkable increase in 2020, which represented a strong support for the Egyptian pound against the dollar.
