Two children were injured as a result of Houthi missiles and drones being intercepted in eastern Saudi Arabia

The official spokesman for the Saudi Ministry of Defense, Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, said that the Saudi air defenses intercepted and destroyed 3 ballistic missiles and 3 booby-trapped drones launched by the Iran-backed Houthi militias towards the eastern region, Jizan and Najran.
He added that the interception operation caused the scattering of shrapnel on the Dammam suburb neighborhood, which resulted in injuries to civilians and light material damage to citizens’ homes.
Al-Maliki indicated that this barbaric and irresponsible behavior by the militia reflects the deterioration of its position in the reality of the conduct of military operations on the ground and its loss of important field leaders, stressing the determination of the Ministry of Defense to take the necessary and deterrent measures to protect its lands and capabilities and to stop hostile and cross-border attacks to protect civilians and civilian objects, in accordance with the law. The Saudi academic Ibrahim al-Nahhas, a professor of political science, believes that the Houthi attacks come in the same context from which the militias began, in their commitment to implementing the hostile regional agenda, especially from Iran.

Al-Nahhas added that “the UN envoy is not of interest to the militia nor its sponsors, especially since their efforts (meaning the envoys) will not go beyond mere diplomacy, and do not support any UN resolutions to impose a reality on the ground, which encourages the Houthi militia to be indifferent and to commit acts outside international law. ».
The US embassy in Riyadh condemned the missile attack launched by the Houthis on the eastern region of Saudi Arabia, and considered the attack “absurd”, threatening the prospects for peace and stability in Yemen and prolonging the conflict.
For its part, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation expressed its strong condemnation of the continued escalation of the terrorist Houthi militia targeting civilians and civilian objects in the Kingdom with ballistic attacks and booby-trapped drones, and the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers condemned in the strongest terms the repeated terrorist operations carried out by the Houthi militias.
In a statement on Sunday, the Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Asoumi, warned against the continuation of the cowardly terrorist acts of the Houthi militia, which reflects its determination to continue its heinous attacks on the Kingdom, which are considered “war crimes”, and rejected calls for an end to the war in Yemen and a solution. The Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf, reiterated the GCC states’ solidarity with Saudi Arabia against everything that targets its security, stability and territorial integrity.
In separate statements, Egypt, the UAE, Djibouti, Qatar, Jordan, Kuwait and Bahrain condemned the attempts of the terrorist Houthi militia to target civilian areas and objects in the Kingdom in a systematic and deliberate manner, which reflects its blatant defiance of the international community, and its disregard for all international laws and norms, calling on the international community to take an immediate and decisive position to stop These acts of aggression, and their solidarity with the Kingdom, and standing with it in one line against every threat.
